More good news has come for Palou Motorsport, as the Hungaroring yesterday saw the Spanish outfit reach their biggest achievement to date. Weeks after their driver James Egozi conquered the Drivers’ title, the 2026 Teams’ Championship in Eurocup-3 has now also gone their way after the round in Budapest. At the penultimate weekend of the year, the team scored a grand total of 82 points to mathematically clinch the title before the round in Barcelona-Catalunya.
Palou Motorsport, based in the region and founded by Catalan motorsport legend Álex and his father Ramón, will celebrate the end of an incredible season at their home race in Montmeló. Again, just days after the five-time IndyCar champion participated in the announcement that the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will host a round of the American single-seater championship for the next decade.
So far, the 514 points obtained by Palou Motorsport in their best ever year have been enough for them to defeat MP Motorsport and Hitech, two teams with a great history and legacy that also compete in Formula 2 and FIA Formula 3.
A great deal of the effort is Egozi’s, as the Drivers’ title winning American scored 323 points for the team, including via a win in the second race in Hungary. Heitor Dall’Agnol, winner in the first of the races during this weekend and P2 in the last, scored 164. Team-mates Rafaël Perard and Bianca Bustamante scored 72 and no points, respectively.

In Barcelona, Palou Motorsport will seek to emulate the 1-2 in the second race in Budapest in order to also clinch the vice-championship in the Drivers’ standings via Dall’Agnol. After the results at the Hungaroring, the Brazilian is, although behind challengers René Lammers and Ean Eyckmans, only 14 points behind Keanu Al Azhari, currently in second place of the championship.
